How feminity works in south east asia?

Women are the backbone of the society. As the we can see in south east Asia, women dominates the men.That means its a matriarchal society. Though Islamic religious belief has taken over the south east Asia. Women in there don't follow the traditional laws and boundaries that is set by the holy "Quran". Isn't that such an irony? As we can see in south Asia, women are dominated by men in that society. But in south east Asia women have equal power and they equally participate in governance and social community building as men do. Hence this has helped them defy foreign power to take over their sovereignty.What do you think about it?
