This blog is dedicated to a program that happened this April 9Th 2009, 7 pm at Newport News Room,Webb Center, which featured Miriam Perez.
Miriam Zoila Perez is an editor at the popular and widely read blog Feministing.com as well as the founder of RadicalDoula.com. She has worked as a reproductive justice organizer and birth activist in the Latina community and now now focuses much of her activism online. During her presentation, Miriam will share her experiences as a young Latina queer activist and writer. She will also talk about what the future of youth activism looks like and how you can get involved during this crucial time for social change.
Initially i thought i would encourage everyone to go to this program via this blog, but i guess i was too late already. Above i have briefed a little bit about Miriam and how she actively participates in promoting gender equality (feminism). It is worth a look.
